Our Havanese have a purebread Cuban heritage. Our family was actually one of the first to bring them to Canada over thirty years ago!! It’s no seceret that Havanese are cute and cheerful little dogs with lots of pep in their step. They are famous for their big brown eyes and the cutest facial expressions. They are very popular with urban socialites & city dwellers because of their temperment, adaptability, and high trainability.

Havanese are also known for their stunning good looks! They have a sweet curled tail, a gorgeous silky coat that comes in a variety of beautiful colours. Although they require regular grooming, they look cute and fluffy whether you keep their coat long or short. Don’t be fooled by their beautiful hair either…

our Havanese are entirely non-shedding and hypoallergenic!

Their bodies are small but sturdy, most of our dogs grow to be 15lbs or less. They are very adaptable, and boast incredible social skills. Even though they make the perfect city pet, they are content just about anywhere you raise them. They love to run and play and do tricks, but they are equally content just snuggling on the couch with you. Wherever they are, they’ll do what they can to secure your attention, love and affection.

They are small but mighty. Just because they have a posh coat and a small stature doesn’t mean that they can’t keep up to you like a bigger dog. In fact, we have known many of our Havanese to enjoy activities like canoeing, swimming, hiking + camping and the list goes on. Make sure you expose them to these activities and adventures when they are younger so they will enjoy it throughout life! Although many love to swim, don’t forget to pack a life jacket ;)

Havanese make excellent watchdogs and take the job very seriously, but will usually keep the barking to a minimum with proper training. They thrive with small chilren, other pets, and are just as content being one on one with you. They will fill your heart with so much love and joy and bring you a sense of safety and security too. Some of our Havanese pups have grown to become medically recognized emotional support pets. No matter their journey, their love for you is unconditional.
